Although Lansing might not be the city that first jumps to mind when you think “adventure,” you’d be surprised to learn all there is to do and enjoy within the city limits. As the state capitol, you can enjoy a great deal of history in the ancient state capitol building and old historic districts with quaint shops, farmers markets, and antique dealers.
As you explore Lansing, MI, check out the Impression 5 Science Center. This is one of the most popular destinations in the area, for both kids and adults. You’re given ample opportunity to play and experiment with all the best parts of science. Don’t expect this to be anything like science class because there’s no lecture and it’s all fun!
The Michigan History Center is another gem of Lansing. It’s a museum with five levels, each jam-packed with history and innovation. Olds Transportation Museum if you want to learn a little more about the automobile without going to crowded Detroit.

Visiting Lansing River Trail and Lake Lansing where you can go sailing, swimming, or boating is a must. The W.J. Beal Botanical Gardens is also a hotspot along with Adado Riverfront Park.
If you want a beautiful and unique tour of the city, hop on the Michigan Princess Riverboat. It’s great for families, as they offer regular tours so that you can see the best parts of the city from the water.
St. George Island, FL
St. George Island is hands down one of the best ways to experience Florida’s Gulf Coast. The gorgeous destination features 22 miles of pristine, white, sandy beaches. You can surf, swim, sail, go pontoon boating, snorkeling, and so much more.
You can also experience the history of St. George Island, including the historic lighthouse located in the center of the island. It’s a beautiful backdrop to this little piece of paradise, and you can take a tour to learn more about it.

Portland, Oregon
Portland is one of the best places to visit for those who like unique experiences and outdoor recreation. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking, and although it’s not located on the coast, the rocky shores of the Pacific Ocean are a short drive away.
It’s the perfect place for those who love gardens. The Portland Japanese Garden is an absolute must-see.
